Its not really a quote but i found it interesting that there were so many superstitions that were based around the number 1. Of course back in the day it made total sense that there are haunted numbers or numbers that are plain scary but in my time, its a really funny thought to think of a bad number. Moving on however, i also find it really interesting that people like Euclid made up rules of math that even today have not been able to be proven wrong. how smart do you have to be to do something like that and have people years later still follow your laws.

We also knkow that the viruses that infect our cells are a hundred times smaller than that, ranging from 20 nanometers to 300 nanometers viruses are the simplest form of life"

Have you ever heard the saying "its not the size of the dog in the fight its the size of the fight in the dog" well this is a perfect example. people have descovered how small our cells and viruses really are. its hard to think that some of the strongest people in the world die from sickness which is basically a small virus that is so small that there could be billions inside of you and you would never know. the fact that no matter how strong people grow, they can be brought to the ground because of something that is so much smaller than they are. its also crazy to think about how many cells actually make up the human body and we now have the mathematical ability to find out how big they are and how many we have. its a crazy thought.

"we had not thought of everything. Or to be more precise, we had not thought about nothing. Zero had not been invented." I can't fathom the world without zeros. Does that mean that multiples of 10 don't exist? Does that mean theres no negative numbers because theres no number of nothing to cross into the negative? it blows me away to think that there used to be a time where to have nothing is something that doesn't exist.
