Gauss
It sounds like he invented a piece of how to do geometry. Its crazy to imagine how smart and how good at math you have to be to come up with your own method of figuring out problems and having people believe you for it. its completely rediculous. If your smart enough to make an impact like that on the world of math, whats that say about me, or anyone else, what if i could do something like that.

Euler
I find this striking because it says that hes not a teacher at all but just the essesce of his creativity and smarts in math spread and taught the masses indirectly. Its hard to prove a point to people but even harder entirely for them to just watch how you think and how you do things and copy you. I just found it interesting because how could someone teach more about math than any other math teacher without themselves being a math teacher.

Leibnitz
"With every lost hour a part of life perishes".
This is Leibniz' motto. I like this quote because its like saying, lost time can never be remade and can never be relived. Its just a kinda deep quote and i like the idea that goes behind it. I think about my own life, there are plenty of times where i just sit there and waste time doing nothing when i could have been doing something to better myself. this quote tells me that i can never get that time back, its just all wasted now. kinda a scary thought if you think about it. its like you have all these days of your life to accomplish things but no moment will ever be the same as another, its just impossible. Its almost like your on a one way street, theres only one direction to go and you can never go back and fix something that you didnt do good on or that you want to relive.
