Gauss

"apart from his detailed discoveries, the cruz of Gauss's insight lies in the word intrinsic, for he showed how to study the geometry of a surface by operating only on the surface itself and paying no attention to the surround space in which it lies".

It sounds like he invented a piece of how to do geometry. Its crazy to imagine how smart and how good at math you have to be to come up with your own method of figuring out problems and having people believe you for it. its completely rediculous. If your smart enough to make an impact like that on the world of math, whats that say about me, or anyone else, what if i could do something like that.
